Well I won't say that I'm perfect
Or even that I've really tried
But I think that I've seen more than enough
To be scared for the rest of my life
I've seen good men fall to the gutter
While bad men crawl their way out
I've seen death and war and hurt and pain
And said, "Oh God, where are You now?"
But for what it's worth I think
That when it's all said and done
I think the devil will run...
The devil will run...
The devil will run from love
And when I lose the hope for my freedom
Cause I can't see it shine anymore
There's a ray of light, dim but still bright
Like a calling from that distant shore
And for what it's worth I think
That when it's all said and done
I think the devil will run...
The devil will run...
The devil will run from love, from love, from love
I think the devil will run...
The devil will run...
The devil will run from love

About "The Devil Will"
Despite the weight of life, despite the hopelessness that we see everyday in the newspapers and on TV, despite our
depravity: we will win in the end. All you need is love. Martin Luther King Jr. believed it; so did Gandhi and so
did many others. Good is not the opposite of evil. Love is the opposite of evil. Evil can beat us down and make
us afraid, but when it's all said and done, the devil will run from love. He's not equipped to handle it. In such
a world, it is comforting to know that he cannot stand up to love successfully.
