Limbs and limbs and limbs
Upon sins and sin and I can't control them
Desperately but certainly
I will pay for what I've done
And tomorrow may not come
But You, You
You lift me up when I'm down
And You, You
Can make the lost be found
Days and days and days they are
Slipping away but I can't stop them
What what I try anyway?
I can't stop even stop myself
No, I can't help myself
But You, You
You lift me up when I'm down
And You, You
Can make the lost be found
Because You found me!
Yes You found me
Because You found me!
Yes, You found me!
You, You
You lift me up when I'm down
And You, You
You make the lost be found
And You, You
You lift me up when I'm down
And You, You
You make the lost be found

About "Lift Me Up"
"Lift Me Up" is a pretty straightforward song about our helpless struggle with sin if we try to do it on our own.
The influence of pride seems to always get the better of me in trying to dig myself out of my own grave; literally,
I guess, if it came down to it. Despite the pressing of time and my own knowledge that I am unable to rescue
myself, I continue to try for some reason. The first verse is about our own sin being trapped inside of us and our
hesitance to realize our depravity; that the things we've done must be atoned for, and we are deserving of that
punishment. For some reason, Christ atoned our sins for us. Verse two is slowly coming to the realization that,
even if we had all the time in the world, there is nothing we could do to stop it. Thanks goodness He found me.
